Will the Jigsaw fit in my arsenal?
« on: August 03, 2009, 11:38:56 AM »
I'm trying to build a bag and so far I have: Ebonite The One Pearl, Brunswick Siege.

I was wondering if the Jigsaw would be a good fit between those, and more specifically how the Jigsaw compares to the Siege.

I'm new here to the forum so any info/replies are appreciated.  Thanks.

Freestyler,

When it comes to the Jigsaw, if the center you bowl at has head oil..this ball is the one to pull out of the bag. The Jigsaw starts to become very iffy if the heads are starting to burn up and there is a lack thereof oil. In comparison to the Hot Sauce...the Hot Sauce is longer and more of an even rolling ball. I would take a stab and say The One Pearl is to you what the Hot Sauce is to me but that is just basing on both balls being OOB surface. Hope this helps some dude! God Bless!

Thanks SteveAustin.

You are right in your assumption about the Hot Sauce and One Pearl comparison.  Thanks a lot for your reply too.  The center I bowl at tends to not evenly apply oil the same every week, so the conditions are sometimes dry, and sometimes heavy.  I would say a majority of the time, based on your reply, that the jigsaw would probably be a good ball to have in my bag.

Freestyler,

If you decide to go with the Jigsaw and I can help..just let me know..or if you already have one..let me know what you think of it as well...

I got almost a whole game out of it tonight, then the shot started breaking down and the ball became iffy as I stated in the last post...

after switching to the Burn..that would be the ball to use for the rest of the evening...

Take care..God Bless!

SteveAustin2808, I will definitely let you know what I think of it if I end up getting it.

I'm actually going to attend the K&K Bowling Power House Challenge later this month where you get to demo all the new balls from a few of the companies, so I'm looking forward to trying out the jigsaw before I purchase one to get an idea of how it will roll for me.

I'm also looking forward to trying some of the other new balls as well, should be fun

I'll let you know what I think, and definitely let me know once you put some more miles on that ball.

the more i watch the vids of this ball ... I try to come up with a reason to buy it....haveing an issue with 1 or 2 balls in arseal.

the reaction in zone pro shop vids (videoballreviews) being able to play straight or swing it.... want my ve to turn that late.. (might not be enough oil in that house).

as for my arsenal i dont see a spot for it ... VG, VE, Toxic, Hex-plosion. Not sure if i want to get rid of anything need to get to the house where my winter league is meeting the last fri. of the month, (think its rather late but..)
will open bowl afterwards to see how that house is with the V's.

But i guess if i can find a seal of a deal for 1 (nib or used) i may have to pick it up..
