Lane #1. Fans are lining up for this one!

Let's just get to the point on this one!
The New Blue Berry BuzzSaw/C2 is just plain and simply "POWERFUL" !!!!
This ball features the "Tried and Proven" BuzzSaw/C2 (Diamond in a Diamond) Core,
(Previously used in the "Cherry Pearl C/2"
The Blue Berry uses the "Power Koil-18" Reactive coverstock from the
Brunswick family. This cover stock is strong at 18+ Hook potential.

The cover stock is "fully adjustable" and can be fine tuned to your specific
lane reaction requirements! Polish or Sand this ball as needed!

Our Test ball is drilled, "Label Leverage" (4X4-1/2)Pin & CG., No balance Hole.
We found this ball to be to much cover out of the box for our league condition test lanes.
So with alittle "Black Magic" polish we were able to put this ball in play with "Great Control" and "Strong Hook!"

Hitting Power? Excellent as expected from this new Lane #1. ball!
Powerful!!! Strong!!! and Hard Hitting!!!

Those of you who are "Lane 1. Fan's" will find this ball to be an excellent replacement for your Cherry BuzzSaw/C2.

Those of you who want to experience the power of a BuzzSaw, This one "Will Not" let you down!
You should run to your local proshop and order this one immediately! Don't wait until someone else gets it first in your area!

We will Highly Recommend this ball to Our Customers and to all bowlers!

One Word...WOW!!!!!!

Ball specs...
16 lbs, drilled thumb leverage off of the Lane #1 drilling sheet with small balance hole...not sure about pin placement...box condition...using it for the normal house shot (med. oil...fresh backends) on first shift league

My specs are in my profile.

This is my first big time ball (had been bowling with a Scout for all conditions).  Fifth game out of the box was a 236, which is my highest game!!!
My average in two leagues is 160 and 149 and I have not shot any score under 170 since throwing the Blueberry.

This ball hits REALLY HARD as is expected from a Lane #1 ball and it also carries really well from what I have experienced.  I am very pleased with this ball and will become a full fledged Lane #1 bowler from now on.

I will try to post a more informative review as I roll this ball more but just wanted to share how much I like this ball so far!!!

I really dont know where to start. This ball is AMAZING!!! It is 15 lbs. drilled RH pin to the right of the ring finger, cg at center span. I have averaged 170 over the past 2 years and have now been throwing this ball consistenly over the past 2 weeks. I have raised my league average up to a 182 and am averaging right around 210 with it. I havent altered the surface or done anything to the coverstock, although it can be altered very easily. This ball reads the lane very well and has a nice arcing motion to the pocket. Hitting Power is like no other ball I have thrown!! If it is anywhere near the 1-3, the pin deck is clean!! It carries everything in sight and rarely leaves a corner pin!! I love this ball!! Excellent job Lane 1!!

Well....I was very excited once I ordered this ball and was thrilled to receive it.  I would have to say the excitement has been somewhat downhill from there.  Not saying I hate it at all, but certainly not as strong as I expected.  It will outhook my Trauma ER by 2-3 boards, but other than that, the performance is certainly NOT better.  I was Bowling On Tuesday, where my Trauma ER has my avg at 234, and decided to pull out the BlueBerry after much practice with it.  Three solid ten-pins in a row.  If I came in perfectly flush to the pocket (as I normally do) then the ball would not hit well at all.  Across that game I had 2-7pins, 3-10pins, and 2-8Pins, way too much for a person like me.  I only shot 226 that game with the ball.  Next game, pulled out the ER, 279 as normal, no problems.  Only one 7-Pin on a light hit with the ball, all the rest pitted.  This is normal of a Tuesday night shot, and what I have come to expect, hence, I was disappointed with the Blueberry's performance.  If I get the BlueBerry out far and let it wash in light, it will scatter the pins nearly every time, however, this is not how I play, I play flush perfect pocket shots.  I may miss 2 out of a series that are not flush in the pocket, and I certainly will not adjust to a lesser shot to use a BlueBerry.  I would not Avg 230 in two leagues If I relied on Crappy, light hit junk, so I will continue to use the ER for now, and see what more I can do with this Buzzsaw.  Rating 6 of 10.  Better Luck with this ball than I had!

This ball is awesome!!! Not gonna hook alot which I like.  I have it drilled 1:30 pin, cg just barely in the negative (1/4 inch left of my mid line).  I started with it very shiny and it cleared the front great.  On the shorter patterns I have hit it with 600 so it will roll earlier and layoff in the back and it has worked great this way also.  May have to drill another one so I can always have both "surfaces" at my disposal.

Ok had a 15# pin 2-3 3.2 oz top weight before we drilled.Drilled this ball stacked leverage. This ball is awesome for me on fresh conditions. The house i bowl on is wood and oils 35 ft and clean backends.Ball ignores the front and hits the dry and flips nicely to the hole. This is my 2nd buzzsaw and have been very pleased with this one and my other.I tried on the same place but 2nd shift and ball doesn't like when you have a little carrydown seems to skid a little to far.I also tried it at my other house which is synthetic and seems to overskid a little. So,i guess if you're on wood lanes with fresh backends this would be the perfect ball, at least for me it is anyway.

Very versatile coverstock on this ball. I have 2 blueberry, 1- has pin under ring finger cg left of centerline 1" and this drilling rolls smooth with smooth arc to the pocket with great carry on medium to dry lanes. The other is pin under ring finger, cg left of centerline 2-1/2" up 1" with hole on pap. This ball is very strong on the backends but not jumpy. Good roll through the midlane with a strong move to the pocket and carries extremely well. Just dull the ball track if it does squirt a little to bring the reaction closer to you.
Scale of 1 to 10... Oh 10 all the way... Great Job Lane #1....

Greetings,

Just picked up a Blueberry Buzz/C2 as a Xmas gift. The Buzz is my first hook ball having been drilled for maximum leverage. My average is 144, bowling on one league per week. Average lane conditions where I bowl are medium oil. Since I got the ball I've bowled a dozen games and I've bowled more 200+ games with this ball then I have in the last 3 years. The Buzz is very forgiving to someone like myself who's just learning how to throw a hook ball. I can say that the "Buzzsaw" effect is very true, when you put the ball in the pocket, either side, the pins just explode! With a little extra speed, I have consistently picked up my spares as this ball is very accurate!

I would rate this ball very highly. I went a little over budget on this ball but I am very glad I did. As I gain more experience, I will be picking up another Lane #1 so I can build up my personal arsenal!!! Great job Lane # 1!

It's been a while, I know, but I finally got a group of balls together that complemented one another and I haven't been drilling stuff up like a madman.

That, and I quit the pro shop over the holidays....that's another story.

Well, I'm back, and my first review is a doozy.  Ballreviews.com regulars know of the Sawheads and how much they hype their favorite ball company.

People, this isn't hype, it's the truth baybee.

I had a couple of balls sitting in my office I had been waiting to drill, nothing spectacular (Frenzy and Silver Streak Pearl), but wanted something different.  I've been reading about Lane #1 and how wonderful they are, but just didn't see what the big deal was.  I put out a post for a Blueberry and got some responses, but Mr. Sterner offered me a trade deal that saved me some cash, so I got an Blueberry and an Emerald (that's being drilled soon).

OK, there's the back story, here's the deal.

Specs:
15 lb.
4 1/2 X 5 (label)
Box finish

Tested the BB in league last night along with my Tornado TPS and Pearl Elixir.  The BB is a bit earlier than the TPS, but smoother off of the breakpoint. It was longer than the Elixir, but saved energy better and had a similar motion.  I was really impressed at how it hit without covering a bunch of boards.  Great control, just super, kind of reminded me of a Pulse (similar shaped core), but better....lots better.

After playing around and shooting 198 the first game, I focused in for the final two to see what I could do.  I hadn't thrown the BB much as I didn't like the early look, but a little carrydown took the TPS out of play and the BB made its premiere.  The first strike I threw with it turned heads, by the end of the game I had people asking me what I was throwing (224, almost lined up).  The last game I finally get the angle right and proceed to do the following.

9/ (stone 9) X X X X X X X X X 9/ (stone 7 with an airborne scout).

Folks, the reaction is smooth and the hit is huge.  In 20 years of bowling and close to 100 bowling balls I can never, ever remember a ball hitting this hard, ever.  I don't know if there's magic foo-foo in the cover or if the core is just that good, but I've never heard pins go "CRACK" like that.

For power and control, the Blueberry Buzzsaw/C2 is it. Period.
Where are all my 2001-2006 posts?

Ball specs:  15.24 lbs, 3.6 oz top weight, 2" pin.  Ball drilled label, pin to the right of the ring finger.  Original games with this ball found the ball with over/under, not having the same breakpoint, or look every ball.  Threw it on both synthetic lanes and two different wood houses with the same results.  Got a little mad because the cover was showing track wear after 6 games (due to the wood), took the cover down to 220, then back up to 4000 sanded and finished it off with some storm extras polish.  First set out after this treatment resulted in a 560 + series.  The next night out, different wood house 748, reaction and carry was much better for me than out of the box.  Won just about everything that I got into.  Paid for this ball and two others.  If you like resin balls, this one is good (skid/snap).

We have drilled a couple of these for different bowlers in our shop and they all rave about how great this ball is.

With the Reactive coverstock and the Buzzsaw C2 core, this ball is easy to read and makes a controlled move to the pocket. On most medium oil house shots this ball will shine.

The ball comes out of the factory shines, but if you need more hook, scuff this ball up and it will give you more overall hook.

I think that if you are a Lane #1 lover and you haven't tried this ball, you are missing out. If you want to try your first Lane #1 ball, then this should be it.

A very versital ball. Shine it, scuff it, or leave it in box condition. This is another 14# drilled max leverage. Not learning from previous attempts at this drilling the ball lost back not like it said on the drill sheet. Still not disappointed with the performance of this ball. I had several great series with it and sold it to a friend who has improve his average by 10 pins. The drilling works great for him. Hitting power this ball doesn't lack. A 10 for this ball and way to go Lane#1.

Ball specs: 2-3" pin and top weight of 3.3 oz.

Drill pattern: 4x3 with the pin next to the ring
Why? to help develop roll when the Cherry Bomb was going too long.

Coverstock condition: box finish with a light coat of Track Clean N Sheen.

This ball does exactly what I wanted. On any oil pattern it picks up the roll at about 30 feet and has a nice steady feed into the pocket.

The backend is strong but not uncontrollable.

This ball absolutely crushed the PBA C and D shots we bowled on. Unfortunately the guy behind the ball was about as consistent as a back country dirt road.

One thing I did notice about this ball is the sound when it hits. It has a very distinct sound. It hits hard but very loud. Not a bad thing but it is noticeably different.

I am going to try the ball with a gloss polish and see what it does and then maybe a 1200 grit wet sand.

I think this ball in combo with the Cherry Bomb and Emerald makes a great all around league arsenal.
