The seller has got to be happy watching this as the auction comes to a close:

Looks like at least three people want it very badly.  Someone still might try and snipe it too.

lane1slave - You ought to list it bro.  Could make yourself a quick $200.

This is rediculous I put my pro purple on there and it didn't even hit $200.  Timing is everything.

there are many other balls out there as good as that ball or better for half that price. Thats just plain stupid to pay that much for that ball..

Oh well, its not my money..

They might be trying to buy it for the same reason Waywood bought a NIB Teal Buzzsaw from Beans.  The original Super Carbide is very rare now in its undrilled form.  It was also an awesome ball to boot that puts the SCB to shame IMHO.

I dont know about to shame, but its a different ball all together imo. I wont get rid of mine just yet, but i would for that amount of money. I might wait til the right time and drill some holes in it.

I am just not a big fan of Lane#1's BOMB cores.  Too many negative experiences with them.

    speaking on rare balls,
i have a danger zone black
i would only sell it to someone for the right price too.
it seems like they really dont make balls like they used to.

the balls now are so powerful and full of "hook potential" and "flare" and "angular", that they seem to burn themselves out.

there will always be a spot in your arsenal for something rare or for "the old trusty" that may set you apart from the crowd when the conditions are just right (or wrong), when people are scrambling for something to match up, faces turn red and hair gets pulled out.

Seeing this I wonder what the NIB Emerald I have would bring?

I too love the SUper C...mine is plugged and redrilled but it's still one of the first out of my bag on fresh lanes where I know there is some juice in the middle.

As for teh ball being overpriced...keep in mind guys one thing. Bowlers are very habit oriented...I sold a pair of Pearl Speed Zones for $280 and $265!!

We tend to fall in love with a given bal land when it gets discontinued we will pay stupid amounts of money to locate another NIB ball.

I loved the Jade Piranha and the Tidal Wave Wipeout Sparkle but I won't pay $150+ for either of them now NIB.

I would pay $150 for a NIB 15# FirePower with a 3-4" pin and 3-4 top weight though. Well, that is, if I ever get this fraud issue cleared up.
