A Few Questions
« on: May 15, 2008, 02:22:39 AM »
Ok guys, i've gone back through 10+ pages of posts and haven't found anything about what i'd like to ask. Also tried searching to no avail.

Anyway, the situation is i'm switching down to 15lbs and looking for something to handle the heavier end of mediums as for the time being i'll probably be running with just 2 balls. I've got the lighter end covered but want to try Lane 1 as I've never thrown anything from them before.

Looking at the current line-up I'm unsure of the difference between the G Force Solid, Supernova and Buzzbomb. I understand 2 are reactives and one is particle. But from what I've read they're all oilers but can be shined to work on the heavier side of mediums. I've read some posts with people claiming Supernova's die quickly, but not enough to convince me. Also, on a personal note, I haven't typically had success with solid reactives, though I've never polished any of the one's I've had.

My question is, has anyone thrown all three or at least two of three and could you provide an honest comparison as far as versatility and performance?

Sorry for the long winded post, but I appreciate any and all help you guys can provide.

Thanks

Mike

Ive thrown all three, the original g force as long as its kept in box condition can handle the soup pretty well (it does however pick up a sheen quickly, the 10 micron finish is tough to hold)  the supernova is a good ball, I never experienced the ball death some say they have seen, I found the supernova to be better suited for slightly heavy meds or polished a great med ball  the Buzzbomb for me is the best of the bunch, in box it'll handle volume, polished it is a great med ball, I currently have mine at 1000 with some of beans sauce (very light tho) and it handles med to med heavy with ease, although still a lot of ball in the mids, I may hit it a tad harder with beans sauce for more length, chameleon tore me up last night

right now the g force solid is on sale, the supernova solid is out of production and lane 1 is out of stock, and the Buzzbomb is running full tilt, any of them would be a good choice but for heavier meds up i would stick with the BB or g force

I've thrown the Buzzbomb and the Supernova. I think either would be a good choice. I love my Supernova, I get excellent carry with it. My bro had a buzzbomb and I threw it some. I personally would go with the Supernova, but that's just me.

I too have owned all three, and I would say the Buzzbomb, and here is why. I have had the G-Force at 1000,2000, 1000+bean's, 1000 grit it was a pretty good oiler but not as good as the Buzzbomb, 2000 or polished it was pretty on mediums but not as good as the supernova at box which goes longer to begin with. I have had the supernova at 1000,1500, and now at 1000+beans secret sauce and at 1000 it too was a decent oiler but of course lost some of it's backend snap (which is what I liked about it in the first place), but the Buzzbomb is a better oiler than the supernova, now onto the Buzzbomb I have had this ball at 1000,1200,1500,2000,1000+bean's at 1000-1500 it outperforms the other two on heavy oil, and at 1000+bean's it outperforms the other two on med. heavy/med. oil. All three were drilled very much the same, pin barely above ring and cg/and or mb swung right a little, with the Buzzbomb swung out a little more than the other two. I also noticed our profiles are very close, I hope this long winded response has helped some.
