Lane 1 pricing....what is the real deal?
« on: August 09, 2003, 11:13:56 PM »
Ok, I see them priced 160 and up on the net then I hear reports of some pro shops charging $275 and up, but what do I see when I visit a local pro shop(drilling included)?

Super Carbide Bomb, Cherry Bomb, Cherry Bomb Solid: $229
Carbide Bomb, Carbide Bomb Pearl, Super Carbide: $189
Silver Diamond, Emerald, Blueberry, XL, Viper: $169

Hmm...Same as internet pricing.  Some even cheaper than internet prices with drilling included.  Someone tell me how they can afford to do this or are other places just jacking up Lane 1 pricing cause they know the Buzzsaw nuts will pay for it no matter what the price?

There are differnet tiers in the lane 1 pricing plan.  After $1000.00 worth buying balls from them you go to a cheaper tier.  The same thing applies after $2000.00  The pro shops buy the balls by the case of four and get the 5th free plus free shipping.  The high end ball like the SCB would cost the pro shop $159.00 for each ball x 4 for the case =636.00 plus a 5th ball for free. This is the first tier price, I think it goes down to 145.00 per ball or so.  So the pro shop has 5 balls that he paid $636.00 for and sells them at lets say $200.00 a pop drilled for a total of $1000.00 and a profit of $364.00 per case. Take into consideration the overhead of a pro shop and the time spent drilling and you will see that pro shop operators will not get rich selling balls.  What I am trying to say is STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT LANE 1 PRICES AND PAY FOR THE DAMN BALL OR MOVE ON!

I have the hook-up.  I don't have to pay for any ball I get
