An option to review the Lane #1 Droid is not available on Ball Reviews. Does anyone know if it's a worthwhile heavy oil ball to purchase?

Roto Grip Magic Gem
Motiv Primal Shock
Hammer Ocean Vibe

I don't know that I would call it a true "heavy" oil ball. I would say it is best suited for medium to medium-heavy shots that have plenty of head oil. Surely it can handle heavy oil as well, but there are likely better options, such as the Maxxx Curve. It is one heck of a ball though. It's very smooth off the breakpoint, but still packs a nice punch on the backend. A great blend of power and control.

Oh, so you consider it Medium-Heavy? That's great; I'm looking for a medium-heavy release. I've seen your video review, and it looks real good. Unfortuantely, my local proshop doesn't sell Lane #1 products. It's going to be the Hammer Epidemic or Droid. Or Droid Pearl, that's supposed to be good.

Droid Pearl is a really good ball too, though it won't handle as much oil as the solid Droid. It is super clean through the front of the lane, then responds quickly to friction for a angular move on the backend. I would say the Droid pearl is a good medium choice, Droid solid is a good medium-heavy ball. I don't know much about the Epidemic, have yet to see one thrown.

See for me, if the heads were not soaked the DROID would just burn out, so it needed Heavy oil shot...

The Pearl DROID from my experience thus far is a far better all around ball cause it doesn't burnout on drier conditions and gets down the lane better before starting that huge heavy forward roll...
