Seller claims that L#1 made a mistake in marking these "for display only".

I'm thinking..they didn't..

The ball has 5oz of top weight..

Well, the other example I was talking about had over 7 oz of top.  That's a little hard to deal with.  5 is doable, but limits your options.  Not everyone uses inserts, so you don't remove near as much weight if your fingers are half the size of a standard insert hole.

No actuallly only about 60% will be removed with finger and thumb holes. Problem is that you are limited in your layouts or else your top weight will become side/finger/thumb weight. Then a HUGE hole.

Sorry typo I dont think the static weight limit will be around much longer. Also  a huge hole isnt bad, I dont see how people come in a say I dont want a weight hole. Its bowling a lot of layouts require a hole.

According to the L#1 gurus..static weights are EVERYTHING when it come to ball reaction.

I certainly think you drilling options may be limited with that much top weight. BUT, I'm no expert on this..

Well, certainly not EVERYTHING, but they do play a role many don't want to embrace. I recently shot a multi-300 in league with a Dynamo-X2. They had temporarily removed the 5 extra boards on the lane, so it couldn't have been that. So I'm guessing the properly laid out statics played into the reaction. Or could it simply been the diamond core?

Bring that ball to my shop and I'll drill it to comply with "Todays" legal weights issue...BUT If there isn't the USBC* on it I won't touch it!
