For those that think Rudy stinks.
« on: December 16, 2005, 12:31:28 AM »
This is just to show how good he really can be and that there are going to be off weeks.

Missed the cut:

Patrick Allen
Parker Bohn
Norm Duke
Tom Baker
Jason Couch
Brian Himmler
Joe Ciccone
Dave D'Entremont
Rick Steelsmith
Steve Jeros
Bob Learn Jr.

Just to name a few stars and those are some of the best.

Way to go Rudy and good luck man way to grind.  I'm sure Triggerman will chime in and take my side here.

Not knocking on rudy but just goes to show ya revs aren't everything.  if he could learn to back off his ball and go straighter on those lighter patterns he would kill.

I love Rudy and he knows it but it almost seems like his versaltility has vanished. Even Couch has been working on toning it down for the last 2 years. Rudy seems to have the same problems as I do when I bowl the finals in Regionals. He usually bombs them after they transition and you never really see that early enough in match play. He will pick it up in the second half. I am sure of it. I would like nothing better than to see him exempt next year.  beans

I agree Lane1bowler Rudy is still a great bowler and let's get behind him the rest of the year and give him the respect he deserves.  This is who we have this year in our corner let's stand behind him.

Go Rudy....

I personally think the problem is the equipment Rudy is throwing.

I personaly dont think he will make a show this year. He is a great power player and like all power players he needs area down lane and that is something that is not conducive to todays pba patterns. In regional competition he isnt competeing against the best in world but maybe the best in the region. So when the lanes do play more in favor for power ther are those who are just better at it than he is out there on a national level or world level. All those exempt guys on tour can throw it and throw it good but it comes down to breaks and luck of the draw something he hasnt had yet. If he does get the breaks and a few good draws he could make it but I just dont think it is going to happen. Hang in there rudy and keep adjusting your game untill you get the right combination to work for ya.

I was talking last week with the pro shop operator as he was bowling and unable to see the show. When I told him the score an that they were bowling on a reverse block and shooting in the 180 190 200 range his first comment was to the effect that when the average league bowler sees that then they think that they can beat the pros now.
We all know better,or should. Those guys are shooting on tougher patterns that most league bowlers will never see,and if they did, they would only shoot 150.
I include myself in that category. I know to move and change balls, but wouldn't even dream of beating those guys on that pattern.
