Recommended drill for SCB dull
« on: May 01, 2006, 12:05:20 PM »
I have just plugged and resurfaced my dull SCB. I am looking for a combination of early, smooth, and strong. What do you guys suggest? Anyone try "CG axis" as per Lane #1 drill sheets? I had it drilled stacked (3-3/8), and it did not start up early enough in a real flood (with my "less-than-manly" revs). I plan to use this only in a true flood environment. I am not trying to make this ball work for something it was not designed. I have other equipment for more playable conditions.

I would suggest pin under ring finger, slightly right of 6 o'clock, with the cg kicked right, stacked under pin.  Should give you an early roll, but you can also sand it to 520 grit; I did mine to 400 due to my speed and revs.
