XXXL- Just how much oil can this ball handle?
« on: June 11, 2006, 10:54:20 AM »
I'm about tired of fighting the "wet once dry twice" league conditions we've been having. Was looking into getting a ball with a weak cover and strongish core and was hoping this was strong enough to avoid having to find a decent pearl urethane still in good enough condition to be worth the while.

Please guys, Help out somebody with no knowledge of lane 1's plastic ball, all I've ever thrown is a silver diamond and a cherry c2. Both of those were WAY strong for me.

I regularly used mine (albeit not gloss polished) in league where there were various balls being used from White Dots up to and including HPH's and Paradigms.

It all depends on your ball speed and rev rate.

If there is dry backend there the ball will hook up for you and work well.

Similar to triggerman...I can play mine straight up the 5 board on our house shot, and it will make it to the pocket. It is not my ball of choice for this shot, but I can make it work. I am a low/medium rev stroker. The only time I go to this ball is when the heads are toast. Otherwise, I will use a weak reactive like the Bullet. Even so, I have only run into this condition twice. I rarely have to go below the H2O (as far as hook rating goes).
