L/LM Balls
« on: November 04, 2006, 05:38:58 PM »
OK, I want to buy a new ball, and I want to try one of these. So i want a pearlized ball, no matter if particle or reactive. Was interested in these below (in this order), and was wondering how they compare to one another:

Big R Bang
Black Pearl
The Buzz
World Class R

Any help would be appreciated...and if anyone has these NIB or used, let me know.

I'm a lefty, and have the Black Pearl, which is very strong. The other balls are all reactive covers. I love the BP when there is enough oil on the lanes to use it.

I've never rolled any of the other balls you mentioned. I think the Buzz is the weakest out of all the balls.

I think I'm trying to get either the Black Pearl or Big Bang R...so is the BBR a skid/flip or a rolling ball?

BRB, with the same core as the Big Bang ... but with a strong, solid reactive cover, is meant to go long and turn hard; since I don't have one (yet) I can only convey what I've been told.

is that BRB really solid??? that's confusing...looks very much pearlized to me...ball companies need to quit making balls pretty and make them look like there supposed to do what they look like they'll do!!! (huh?)

Yup ... REALLY a solid resin, NOT pearlized (that info is straight from Galen Gentry at Legends, my friend).

BTW ... there are three "L/LM" balls still in production that are pearlized (particle or resin); they are:

- The BUZZ (pearl resin)
- Masterpiece (pearl resin)
- Black Pearl (particle pearl)

Below is their marketing link ... check out page 11 of 12 of the ball list info.

Can't always judge a ball by it's appearance ... that's why I included the link.

The World Class is solid particle.
The World Class Reactive is solid resin.
