Punched mine with the pin 4 1/2" from PAP, over and outside of RF.  CG is near center line.  I wanted length and more of a snap, and thought this would do the trick.

All I can say is WOW!!  The ball gets great length and has a hockey stick turn that my Cell Pearl wished it could do.  The ball came back and crashed the pins so hard, it was scary.  I'm not that comfortable to have to play so far inside.  So, more comfort is needed before I use it in competition.

I know I am going to have fun with this ball.

The wife went shopping, so I went to practice with this ball.  Rolled 3 games.  I loved the length and the strong backend.  I was able to roll with regularity from inside, which I am not that fond of.  Then, I was asked to sub on a second shift league.  Which I did.

I thought this would be the challenge I wanted.  Second shift league, spend oil pattern, on no more then a weak house shot to begin with.  And, it did just fine.  It still got the length, and the roll was strong.  I really didn't have to move when I found a line, standing 28 out to 5 at the break.  The ball stayed true, even on this terrible shot.  I've bowled in this league before as a sub.  And, all you ever hear is how terrible the lanes are.  It didn't seem to bother the ball, shooting 658.

It's what I wanted, and it's what I got.  Great ball.

Anyone else have any feedback on the Sting Widow Maker?  I have not been bowling much due to the holidays and have only thrown a couple of games with it.  Might get a chance to use it more this week since our leagues are back to full speed after the new year.

I've had mine for several months now, but only recently started using it in league. If you had success with the original Sting, you will love this ball. I find it is similar in strength to the Buzz Attack, but with a more controlled back end move. It's classic Lane Masters Particle motion. Very smooth with a nice arching move to the pocket.

I have mine drilled with the Stacked Leverage drilling from the Lane Masters drill sheet. I can play down and in, straight up the boards or open my shoulders and play inside as needed. It's a very versatile ball.

I really hate to say this, as my Terminator is my favorite ball.  But, the widow maker has replaced the terminator in league.  Don't know why, but mine is a little stronger, drilled label leverage, over the Terminator.  And, I suppose it's the newness, but I am liking this ball on fresh oil.  So much so, that I have changed the surface on my Terminator to 1500 wet sanded finish to get a different look, and use it on less oil as a THS.

I've done this twice now, and I have to be more careful.  But, I stay with this ball too long, as I think it can stay with oil depletion.  When the better ball, the XTreme Damage is sitting in my bag.  I have held off changing in mid game 2 and waited til game 3.  Gotta change to the more reliable ball quicker.  Why settle for a low deuce when a 240 is waiting in the bag?

I have the right combination of balls.  Now, I have to learn when to use each.
