Surface suggestions for synthetic lanes

I normally bowl on worn wood lanes with Guardian on the front ends and this summer I am bowling on a newer Brunswick house with synthetic lanes which seem extremely slick to me. Currently most of my equipment is polished up fairly slick and if I put any speed on it just slides forever. So far the only ball I have adjusted the surface on to try is a Big-R-Bang which I took down to 500 Abralon. Its useable but can still throw it past the break point without too much trouble. I have available to resurface the following Black pearl both original and reactive, Kong, and a Buzz. Any suggestions on which ball might be best to start with and approximate surface would be welcome.

500 abralon is a lot of surface.  You might have gone too far and it's burning up way too early and puking just past the arrows.  Take something to 1000 or 2000 abralon (my favorite as a general use ball) and try it again.  You still might need to slow down your ball speed, move your feet quite a bit to find the friction, or maybe just re-educate your self on how much hook you need vs. how much you're used to seeing.

I'd suggest "playing" with the surface of the Kong. It is a solid particle and much better at oil or slick surfaces. Try taking any shine off it with a Scotch Brite light grey (800 grit US) nylon pad or a P2000 grit Siaair or Abralon pad. That should handle a good deal of oil, unless you have high ball pseed and/or low revs. There is no data on your release/delivery in your profile, so I can't make any better sugegstion.

The Big-R-Bang & the Buzz are pearls. They are just too good on dry and lighter oils to sand, in my opinion.

The Black Pearl is a particle pearl and can handle more oil with more surface. I'd suggest less polish or even a 4000 grit Abralon or Siaair surface IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN SPINNER so that you can restore it, if so needed.

I agree with Strider: 500 abralon is ridiculous on the BRB. WAY, WAY too rough. Not sure how it reacts to such a rough surface, anyway.

Thanks for the replies guys. As far as the BrB goes at 500 the reason I went that far right away is when I first went up there all I had with me was highly polished pearls. To be more exact my normal balls at the wood lane house. I had with me a Visionary Ogre Pearl (purple) and a Gladiator pearl. Both of them with my standard line went straight into the channel lol. I could throw them straight at the 10 pin over second arrow and pick it. The BrB did not seem to be burning up as it would start rolling fairly late and would hook as long as I did not throw it too hard. A little too much speed though and it would skate past the head pin. I must admit to being a little too used to having a wall outside of 10 and this house has none. I missed outside with the BrB and rode the 1 board all the way down the lane when I was trying to play the twig.

I do have a spinner so changing the surface back is not a problem although I would love a link to any info on exact method of reproducing original surface on all the LM balls as I have a number of them. As far as my release/delivery and speed goes, its a bit of  a work in progress. I started bowling over at this house because thats where the coach I am working with is located. Currently throwing 14.5 to 16 Qubica indicated medium revs with a 19 degree axis 45 degree rotation. It remains to be seen what the finished  product will be.

And by the way I agree 500 ab is a bit much for a BrB, but as my coach has been changing my thumb pitch that was the first one I had switched to the new fit. So it was the one I experimented with. Its almost too much ball 4000 polished on my regular lanes.

19 degrees of tilt is a lot of tilt and could be a good part of the reason your ball is pushing to far.

The biggest thing is if its still a house shot i'm assuming move your feet right, i'm sure there will be dry out there.
