What 3 balls would you like to see from LM/L??
« on: December 22, 2009, 11:28:39 PM »
What 3 balls would you like to see Lane masters/Legends produce. They can be a whole new piece or a remake.

1st. I would want them to remake the Buzz, They do not have a ball that fills that kind of condition in their line. It was probably one of their best. In the same league as Black Pearl Reactive that they seemed to produce so little off, and it really angers me.

2nd. Dont'' know how this would work out. But use the Hornet idea in like a solid reactive, or particle ball. Harder shell that still bites thorugh carrydown and allowas you to play strait up the side without being power robbed or wild on the backend. This ball may be undoable, but it sounds awesome since I love my Hornet and I wish I had something to play the same spot before switching to it.

3rd. Maybe a Terminator remake???????????

This 4th one is just a wild card. Would like to see a assymetrical from LM/L. I know they woudln''t do this but. I just would want to see how much one of their covers would hook with a .20 mass bias core in their to pump it up. I feel it would be sickening.

Lets hear what you got.

I would take the original World Class Particle first, then the Masterpiece. I would say the Buzz, but you can still find those for sale online. For a new release, I feel LM needs a less aggressive product, something between the Sure Strike and the Hornet.

Yea, yea, I know I can change the surface, release, ball speed etc, but what would I use to fill my 6 ball bag then? :-)

I liked the idea of a mild solid, somewhat on a par with the Hornet. They had one, called the Extreme Impact, way back when they first started and took over for AZO. Since they have the molds for the core and the same resin supplier, it couldn't be that hard to replicate.

The Sure Strike is an excellent ball. That one shoudl be kept. I don't like the idea that the Solid Strike, its successor, was made "grabbier" with an additive (my terminology, based on what I read).  The Sure Strike is already strong enough that it needs either medium oil or higher ball speed to handle less than medium oil.

Just above the Hornet, a Buzz and a Sure Strike/Solid Strike and a Terminator Rebellion are excellent balls for medium-light to medium oil.
I wish they'd keep the Terminator Rebellion.

+1 for the KONG(ORIGINAL coverstock, NOT the subsequent "weak" pours),
Absolute Power ... with a new coverstock (to fit above the HORNET), and
+1 again ... for the Terminator Rebellion.

I think a Masterpiece remake would be a great idea as well - frankly I''m a bit suprised that LM didn''t do a Particle (Yeah Baby), Particle Pearl (Xtreme Damage), and Solid (Masterpiece) combo the first time around.  Of course, there have been a couple of other pairings that didn''t have the Particle Pearl middleground.  (Thinking of the Terminators and the Big Bangs here - the New Standard/Black Pearl line took a few years to come around to the BPR).

Another suggestion would be a true pearl in a couple of their lines - most would agree that the Buzz was a fantastic ball, but to my rememberance (at work so I don''t have access to all my notes), it was pretty much if not the only true pearl, then only one of a couple LM ever produced.

edit (and yes, I''m enough of a geek/fan to make notes on all data pertaining to every ball line made by LM, I''ll admit it.  RG values, coverstocks, resurfacing procedures, etc.)

I would like to see the return of the Yeah Baby with a more adjustable coverstock similar to the Black Diamond.   World Class core with an Evolution reactive coverstock would be a winner.

Please, please, bring back the Terminator.  Mine is 5 years old.  Another 299 just last week.  Darn push with the ring finger on 12th ball.  But, it is starting to see a little wear, and has had some lane damage.  He would love a little brother.

Other than that, the World Class was eaten by a lane machine.  Loved that ball.  But, the good thing was that its replacement was my Terminator.  I'd sure like to have another, though.

Masterpiece
Big Kahuna
World Classes
Kong

Sorry, couldn't leave it at 3............If they brought these back I'd have to take out a major bank loan to buy a case of each!

Also, would love to see a 4 or 6 ball roller

I see alot of peoplke really liked the Kong, don't know much about that ball, what was its strong points.

Keep this post going. I would like to see poepl mention a ball thewy would like to see that hasn't been already produced. Give Tony some ideas.

I would love to see some re-releases of past equipment, using the same resin and particle base. I would be spending way to much money, haha. They could do limited runs. They would sell that is for sure.

Guys,

Tony already said they're not going to make any more diamond/Super Carbon particle balls. So forget about the BK, NS, YB and Kong. I think the World Class particle balls also used Super Carbon. Sorrryyyy!

I liked the idea of a mild solid, somewhat on a par with the Hornet. They had one, called the Extreme Impact, way back when they first started and took over for AZO. Since they have the molds for the core and the same resin supplier, it couldn't be that hard to replicate.

1. I agree with Charlest - Keep the Terminator Rebellion
2. Terminator Perl
3. and as someone already said, something between the straight flush and the Sure Strike..
