"Hello Gene -------

We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favor.

We were able to recover $85.00 USD and this amount has been credited to
you.  Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted."

Still have not heard from Tywithay and really don''''t expect to! But, at least I have my $$$$ back!
BUYER BEWARE!!!!

JUL 22 STILL NOTHING!!!

Jul 16.. Nothing!! No replys, nothing from paypal.I''''m starting to get in a BAD MOOD!!!!!!!

Jul 11
Ty''''s answer to p pals request
Seller: I dropped off the package at a fedex drop box with a label that I printed off. The tracking # is 075416215000003. I understand why the customer is upset, but if FedEx lost the package, it is out of my hands. I shipped the package and provided tracking, and they lost it. I contacted Fedex and they said they would look further into it and check the drop box again then contact me. They never did contact me back. I think that once the package ships, it is up to the shipping company to take care of it, my end was done.

JUL10 ..PayPal claim has just been filed! I personally will not deal with Ty Ford again. I hope others here have not had the same results as I!!

I requested a refund from Ty on July 6. He read the msg. NO REPLY!! I have also checked with Fedex and just generating a label doesn''t mean squat! Until the package is in their hands, no insurance, NO CHARGE!!!

This is my LAST communication about this! I''ve tried 3 more times after this and no replys! He has my money!!!!!!

Message:  Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. In the process of moving because I was laid off from my job. I did drop the ball off at a fedex drop box near my house on 6/22. I checked the tracking # I gave you and it is the right number. Upon searching it, it doesn''t show any information, which is odd. I did call fedex and they gave me the same speel about never receiving the ball. I told them that I had dropped it off in a drop box and they said they''d have a driver check that box to make sure it wasn''t left behind, but I''''ve heard nothing back after that. That was on the 29th when I called them. I hope they call back soon, because I''d really like to know what happened. Otherwise I''m going to be out a ball and money, which doesn''''''''t sit well with me. I''ll keep you posted if I hear anything more from them.

Thanks,
Ty

Something looks wrong here. FEDEX should have found something by now.

tywithay has to have FEDEX do a trace. I have never had them do this.

With either FEDEX or UPS I tend to get a receipt whenever and wherever I drop off a package. That way they have not one blessed thing to say about whether or not they took possession of the package for delivery.

Leaving it in a box give you ZERO opportunity for validation. They can always say they never got it. You have no leg to stand on, so to speak.

The drop boxes that FEDEX and UPS have in our area are in no way big enough to put a ball in, not that they don't make them big enough to stick a ball in.  I tend to agree with them, I always drop off at the UPS Store or have it picked up at work so as to not have any question on whether it was picked up.  Good luck.

About 6 month's ago I ordered some brass tubing from a company for a custom bar I was building for a customer. The company shipped it Fedex. I had a tracking number and everything. That was the last anyone had seen of my tubes. The company then sent me out 2 more, but only after Fedex admitted they lost my original shipment. So it does happen.....

I would love to find out Fedex lost it, but again, there is no record of them getting it in the first place.

FedEx Nashville lost a bowling ball for me once. And sent another one to Seattle before finally finding it a month later (hint: I don't live anywhere near Seattle).

Honestly, the story sounds like a load of crap. Like one other poster mentioned, there's no way I could fit a bowling ball, let alone the box it would be shipped in, in a drop box. But there might be exceptions. There has to be a receipt of proof at least on his end for the shipping of the ball, right?

I cannot drop a ball intended for Ground shipment in a FEDEX box. Up til now, it was intended for EXPRESS shipment only. I haven't tried to do that in several years.

Had this one, too, with UPS once. Ordered an overseas ball from an American pro shop. They take my money, next day UPS is showing as having "received" the ball. Four weeks later, nothing. Get UPS to investigate it, they actually had the driver who had that route give me a call himself. He said he never picked anything up, and that the notification of pickup was an automated message that went out when UPS received notification that a client intended to ship something. He said when he went by the bowling center the next day, they had nothing for him to pick up, so he thought it was a mistake on UPS' part and he let it go.

Turns out what happened is that someone walked in to the shop the same day I bought the ball, and offered more money. So despite having already taken my money, they sold the thing out from under me. I finally got the pro shop owner to admit it and he refunded my money.

As a few have mentioned, there is no way that a bowling ball would fit in a FedEx dropbox. And if he was sending it FedEx Ground FedEx Express wouldn't do anything with it.

As far as the paypal claim you have proof that you paid and never received anything and they should rule in your favor and just pull the money from his account.

With the tracking number that was given to you if it doesn't say anything it means nothing was ever created. To get the tracking number it still should show that something was created ie: there has to be a transmission to get said number. I wish you the best of luck on getting what you rightfully paid for.
