10 point format
« on: March 01, 2008, 04:45:47 AM »
In one of my leagues, we made a carried motion to go to a 10 point system abandoning the normal 8 point system everyone uses. Instead of getting 2 points for totals, you now get 4 points. This makes getting totals everything because it is like winning 2 games. Now my team hasn't taken advantage of this in the first half but in the second half we are doing better. In fact, because of this format we were at the bottom and since we have been bowling well lately, this point system has aloud us to jump up to the middle of the pack as we were near last a month ago. Anyone else use a 10 point system?

Yes, my league on Monday is a 10 point system.  2 for each game, 4 for totals.

I was curious about your comment about a "normal" 8 point system.  I hadn't heard of an 8 point system before I saw this post.  The most common system around here is 7 points (2 for each game, 1 for totals).
