28 Ft Shoot and Cranker

This is a crankers nightmare - Anything you put on the lane is going to EXIT STAGE LEFT..  Any ideas beside just praying and throwing your arm out....

Normal bowling ball weight 15.2
Do you think if I drop weight to a 14 pound ball in that type of condition it would help...  I know it has to be pearl and it has to be drilling left handed with a weight hole stopping the ball from turning that early - What do you think....

With the lighter ball it would give me more room to man handle the ball - What do you think...

Do you bowl on my Friday league ! Sounds like our shot. It makes the 160 bowler a 190 bowler.

My advice, quit before you get aggrevated !
A guy on my team has drilled a XXXL, Neptune, and Blue Slate Gargoyle
and still has problems keeping the ball on the lanes.

Learn a spinners release, or a kill shot (explained in a Jowdy book I have), or
loft the heads.

You can try plastic, but my suggestion is old urethane.  In the days of short oil, they only oiled about 26 feet.  Today's oil has a better behavior and doesn't go away as fast.  All ball manufacturers during that time developed urethane balls for the short oil.  If you get something with a substantial weight block, you may have trouble maintaining control.  Go for a pancake block urethane ball and you will be better off than plastic.  The new AMF Black Angle is pancake block urethane.  Just shine it like a marble.  Only problem with the new Angle is it seems to track out easily.

GOOD LUCK!!

Everything resin is going to go bananas once it hits that friction with high revs, no matter the drilling, just to much friction there, 60 foot of lane a 26 feet of oil.  You need to stay with plastic or urethane, Ebay is great for older urethane, might be able to score a C300 Stingray or Hammer or some sort.

Sounds like you have a good opportunity to try to learn different wrist positions and ball releases. (Not as dirty as it sounds! LOL) Being versatile is not a bad thing, you know!
Also, overpowering the lane with weaker equipment and higher speed can lead to inaccuracy and injury.

I would say try a XXXL and if that doesn't work, your spare ball and if that doesn't work I don't know.  It sounds like you would have to really try to throw the ball harder than you would like to (you mentioned throwing your arm out which doesn't sound good) or learn a totally different release and I don't know how much you want to do that.

Do you think it will mess you up to learn something that radically different?  If I intentionally tried to learn how to throw a weak spinner it would really screw me up for a while trying to get back to the old release on a normal league.
