The 300 continues to evade me.  But fortunately, at least I can shoot a few good games outside of the home center.  I went bowling with TenPin2002 (brother) to a place just down the way from the home center, and we shot a 4 game set.  I took the two balls I use LEAST (pearl danger zone special, green messenger) to try to get the hang of them again.  I had the danger zone resurfaced/polished and the messenger plugged in the thumb and redrilled for an extended fingertip.  I need to get the messenger opened up in the middle finger, I couldn't really come around the ball, so I used the Zone all night.
Four game set, 198, 257, 203, 279.  TenPin told me at the end of the third game "I'll take this time to tell you you haven't left a 7 pin all night"  I struck out, but the last ball left one pin on the lane "just for him" i told him
The last game I had Strike Spare, next 9, and THEN the 7 pin  It amazed me that I could take a ball and throw it consistently, especially when I could never throw it very well until this week.

Maybe I'm really starting to mature as a bowler, I started cranking more last year than I used to, used to be pure finesse.  But I think I'm settling in finally.
Of course, it could just be that I'm left handed
