30 clean!!

The laneman gave my team an early Christmas present! One of my teammates opens with a 300 first game then shoots 233-201 for a 734. Our #4 bowler shoots 245, 267, 191 for a 700. #5 bowler(me) shoots 247, 235, 224 for a 706.... but, MORE IMPORTANTLY IT WAS A 30 CLEAN SET, so I feel like I actually won the bragging rights since neither of the others went clean! BTW... we did win all our points, even though our lead-off ONLY shot 589 and our #2 bowler was absent. What do you think? Who gets the bragging rights?

No patch I'm aware of. You might get a coaster for the 700 depending on your average.

The 300 gets the ring... I think that settles the bragging rights. No one will remember your 706 but the 300 is recorded for everyone to see.

I got a keychain one year for a clean 30 and a beer coozie another year.  Hurray?  I shoot clean 30s pretty often, and most nights that aren't clean I only have one open frame.  OK, so this Tuesday was an exception since I left two 8-10 splits in one game.  But other than that, having a clean 30 isn't that big of a deal to me anymore.

I gotta go with Pinbuster -- it's all about the rings.

In other awards news, I'm still waiting on my ring for my 300 I shot back in September actually.  Our local rep is always slow about getting awards turned into the USBC for some reason, league officials always have to ride his butt to get anything done.  (A couple years ago I shot 11 in a row in September and didn't get my plaque until April!)

30 clean for me is an accomplishment.  I always seem to have a split make its way in there somewhere.  I have shot a few 30 clean sets.
As far as bragging rights, yeah you gotta give it to the one who will be getting an award...300.

we have a 30 clean jackpot in our tuesday night league.  participants pay $1 to get in.  if no goes clean, it carries over to the next league session.  ends on sweeper night where those with the most clean frames split the pot.  this season, the pot currently sits at a little over $100.  we have had quite a few people blow it in the 10th frame of the third game
