I made it up to Beverly at 12 noon.
They had just finished conditioning the lanes when I arrived.
They put out one of the Sr. Regional PBA patterns.
We had 8 bowlers show up. 3 BR members, (me, Chitown, Northface); 5 non-members: Jon Peterson, Joe Strzelecki, Dan Svehla, and his father Tom, and Mike (who attended the Elk Grove gathering).
I fractured my little toe yesterday afternoon, and really didn't think I'd be able to bowl. I taped the toe at Beverly, put my bowling shoes on, and it hurt like heck. Figured I'd practice "1-step" delivery. did that for awhile, and ended up throwing a 3-step, after the first 5 games.
We had a good time. Chitown picked up a used Black Widow for $45.00, great deal for him. We sat around and talked bowling for a bit...Northface has gone to forward pitch in his thumb, and is rolling the ball super, he made the shot look like a THS.
The shot was very hittable, if you made quality shots. Like most shots are.
