A B C cards
« on: September 16, 2003, 08:22:26 AM »
Do local associations charge different prices for an A B C card? One assoc. I bowl in charges $16.00 and another charges $15.00. What did you guys pay? I will have to buy a local associate's card for the one I didn't buy the A B C card from. That's about $5.00. It's no big deal, I was just kind of wondering.

The difference in cost is likely because local dues fluctuate from association to association.

Just ask your league secretary.

A portion of your dues is determined by the local association. local associations are allowed to vary a little in this amount. The amount you are paying to have a second association membership is the local amount.
So if the dues in one assoc are $15, or it would cost you $5.00 for an assoc. membership, I believe that means that $10 of the annual dues goes to national.

A few years back, the ABC raised the price of both the National dues, and it allowed the local associations to raise their price to the same amount as the National dues if they wanted.  The maximum rate for an ABC card is $16, with $8 going to the National dues, and up to $8 going to the local association (the locals can set their own rates, up to $8).

In my local association, we pay $13.00, with only $5 going to the local association.
