Belmonte was killing the PBA then I read where there was a new ruling re: Drilling .. suddenly Bel isn't winning .. is there a tie in?

While the rule is stupid, any impact on 2 handed players is vastly over stated, especially for anyone who can drill out unlimited equipment

I'm more referring to the actual writing in your first post. It was a bit scattered.

USBC rules do not govern the PBA. The USBC rule also isn't in affect yet.

I agree the rule change isn't going to impact 2 handed bowlers except in their wallets from having to fix their equipment.  IMO, a possible reason for Belmo not doing so well lately could be that the PBA has been using short oil patterns recently.
