Another post on equipment and oiled lanes?
« on: January 10, 2004, 06:43:00 AM »
With the post earlier on oily lanes and sanding bowling balls, I have a question.

What with the particle craze going on, what would be wrong with taking a soft urethane ball (Blue Hammer, older Nitro, etc.), sanding it about 320 and playing up the boards?  You might have some problems with leaving ten pins, but this line trips the 4 pretty well on high hits and it would grap the wet part of the lane pretty well wouldn't it?

I just ask because this was the experience I had when I had my first serious ball, a urethane Black Gyro II sanded coarsly.
