I have both shows and let me tell you it is apples and oranges on what happened to Walter Ray Williams Jr and Randy Pederson.
Walter had a camera flashed in his face. He acted professional enough not to lose his cool too much. Kirk Von Krueger, the Director specifically told the audience no flash photography. Sounds like a simple rule to me. Apparently, the PBA didn't do any frisking after that incident and the same thing happend by a fan in the 2005 US Open to Patrick Allen. Again, he told the fan not to do that, did throw a 4 letter word muttered and that was that. Both resulted in open frames because of a split and a washout.
Randy Pederson was different. He disgraced himself on national tv. Apparently, and coincidently at the end of the game on a must strike ball a fan supposedly said or shouted something on the 2nd level of the auditorium. I couldn't hear it on tape, but Pederson made himself look foolish and unprofessional. The thing that ticks me most off about Randy Pederson is HE WAS LUCKY JUST TO BE ON TV much less the whole tournament. A few touraments before, Amleto Monacelli knocked him out of the Tournament of Champions. BUT...Pete Weber, who was in the TOC dropped out due to a shoulder injury. That then let Randy Pederson back in the tournament. Granted, he went through all the brackets to make it to tv, but still that was the biggest insult from a PBA player I've ever seen!
