If you where looking for a new heavier oil ball, would you choose the motiv ghost or storm sure lock? coverstock life is a concern for me.

If it's a matter of coverstock life then the Jackal Ghost is the easy decision. Motiv's stuff has been really good in that department. And in my experience the Storm family balls have a decent drop in reaction after the first 40-50 games or so. Even with constant upkeep. I know others have had different experiences, especially with the Hy-Road, but that's just what I've dealt with.

Regular and often wiping, cleaning, deoiling, and surface refreshing should be done on these types of heavy oilers regardless though. That's going to go farther for preserving the life of a coverstock than picking between brands would. Not saying you don't, just throwing that out there.

Both balls will likely take down no matter what you do.  That is not necessarily bad.  You don't need a hook monster on a house shit no matter how much they put in the middle.

Disagree here if they flood the middle and I'm talking pull it a few boards, back up 2-8-10 flood, a hook monster can get up hill and not boomerang off the popcorn fart dry.

I'll agree with this. It will totally make the house shot more playable.

Shouldn't be an issue to hit the pocket.  Its all about carry.

House shots are so easy and predictable, if any reasonable person can understand the many different ways in get to the pocket (straight, slight swing, deep inside)  the performance level of the ball wont be a huge factor at all, though I do agree that a asymmetric ball does make it easier in the puddle. All about understanding the different ways to get to the pocket as mentioned earlier.
