A Brunswick Ultimate Inferno is not only an extremely well hooking piece but is said to handle carry down well.

Sounds like the pattern I played on last night. Long flat heavy pattern with carrydown. I was using a V2 Particle dulled to 600 grit. That seemed to work pretty well. The key to heavy oil and carrydown is you need to get the ball into a roll before it hits the carrydown so it will essentially roll through the carrydown. My best advice would be to take a good med/heavy load particle that will grab a bit in the heads and begin to roll through the carrydown. Also, if you change your release a bit and come up the back of the ball more creating forward roll, that will get the ball to roll early and evenly. Also, on a side note, you WILL NOT be able to play a swing shot on this pattern. Play a direct line, like somewhere straight up the boards between 10-15 depending on your rev rate and speed. Good Luck.

On edit, I noticed in your profile that you have a WOW. Try to scuff it up a bit with a green scotch brite pad and throw the ball coming up the back of it. That may work for you.

I have found that out several times... im used to a swing shot.  ANd just this wed's i bowled after a womens leauge after a while of goofing around i realized i had to play straight up and dindt have to swing it.

Depending on your style the Ebonite Preadator/ Blood red & White is supposed to be ideal for heavy oil and carry down.  For a person with good ball speed and low revs (stroker)

Moe,

I am having the same problem in one of the house I bowl.  The Ebonite Preadator/ Blood red & White seems to be the solution, is there any other ball which is still in the market have the similar reactions?  Or if I can still find the predator.

Any suggestions would help.

Again I am a tweener too, med speed med-high rev.
Equipment, X-factor, razor wire, sonic boom, spirit 1, Cranbury.

Many thanks.

As far as i know its still in production from ebonite, i seen it listed on teh site.  I have also seen a few places that have them on close out, so you can probally get them for cheap!

Also a member here was selling one, in 16lb's.  PM me and i will give you his SN.
