« on: October 15, 2006, 01:11:27 PM »
hi, i have a threshold driled 4.5 x 3 at 800 grit and a purple quantum 4.5 x 4.5 at 1500 grit.

Iv tried polishing both and dulling both i can not get eather of these balls to move on the lane.

My axis is 5 1/2 over 1/2 up im bowling on 40 foot THS

My old black zone is the only ball that will move for me its drilled rev leverage. Hellp lol

There is a possibility that the balls are dying before they hit the backend of the lane.  Sometimes, centers do not maintain their machines and they can malfunction (not completely strip the lane before oiling...may not lay down the lane pattern programmed into the machine).  If this is true the match up you are getting is really poor.  Sometimes, lesser hooking balls can outhook bigger hooking balls simply because of lane condition and proper match up.
