Most reviews on this site are positive; however, I would like to know what ball was disappointing to you! It's tough to pick through all this glamorizing reviews.

It's not so much the ball I just didn't match up well with the Pearl's.

Ebonite Total NV, Gave it more than enough time and tried surface changes, for me Total Disappointment.

Hammer Taboo, didn't fair so well either just found someone to take it off my hands.

On edit...I forgot my trip to big b land. Intense inferno, ultimate inferno. Both duds. Gave away my intense after a game.

Worst ball EVER? ebonite Riptide.

Worst ball I've drilled in the last couple of years? 900 Global Creature. Just didn't match up with it.

Brunswick Rattler. I figured it would be great since I love my sidewinder, but the ball was just a complete boat anchor.

I gave up on my Pure Physics. Used the same layout that I used on my pure swing and full swing. I was able to score with it on a couple PBA patterns and had some luck with it on a house shot. But also very seldom seen the volume it commanded. However, I kept it because someday I think Ill need it. haha.

Brunswick Impulse Zone. HATED IT!! Glad I only gave $5 for it. Gave it to my brother in law just to get it out of my bag. Didn't like anything about it. Especially the color.

Real disappointment was the Smash Zone. It only worked one single time - on a 30' short pattern. Otherwise, it never produced a consistent reaction for me, despite surface tuning. My biggest disappointment so far, but the confirmation that low RG cores and itchy covers are not the best choice fopr me and my game. At least, one thing learned from it.

Another ball that I had and which was a real dud was a ZonePro HPD. I expected a lot from it, but it loped down the lane like a dead, fat cat. O.K., it was a used ball, but it canme in good shape and I could not get any proper reation from it.

Looking back, there are a few that I liked at first, but over time they did not match up with me or the conditions I faced:

C-System 4.5 - over/under

Radical Inferno - over/under

Fury Solid - condition specific, but better w/ polish

Mammoth - needed a flood

Storm LaNina - needed the Exxon Valdez oil spill to carry

Roto Grip Global Assault

Ebonite Red Wolf

Storm Shock Trauma - love/hate relationship (but it smelled great)

There are probably more, but many balls just needed surface tweaks and they became nice additions.

I've had a few over the years, but the worst matchup for me was the Bone XS. I tried several drillings with multiple surfaces and never could match up with it. Most of the others I've disliked(Sapphire Zone Pearl, Danger Zone, Teal Rhino Pro) were just too condition-specific for regular use, but if I hit that certain condition, watch out.

Lane #1 as a whole has not been good for me. The worst example is the Buzzbomb Carnage.
