this guy is horrible.. and boring, and it actually pisses me off that hes on the vids.. and he does NOT need to be on these videos to show what a monster hook ball can do thrown straight... This guy might as well use a houseball..  They replaces Halstrom for THIS guy? wow

Looks fine to me I wish I could play that tight of a line. He'd probably wax you on any condition any way. If you dont like it dont watch it.

mj79: If you don't see a large percentage of bowler's like Clint in league, I've got to wonder if you really bowl at all. Clint is probably the most valuable part of that video. Whoever decided to include him made the right choice.

lol well Ive bowled since I was 6 .. Im 30 now.. I quit in 2006 due to an injury , but now am getting back into leagues again this fall.. I still watch a few buddies on thursday and friday nights , and im telling you what I see.. 10% of bowlers bowl like that, in 2 different houses I watch at..

To each his own I guess.. Im no fabulous bowler by any means ( ended with a 206 avg in 04 and am holding a 206 right now thru about 40 games )  which is not better than Clint from his average posted, but thats not the point of this thread.  I can tell if hes a stroker a tweener  or just an old slow straight ball player, which is why I wondered why they have him in vids for reviews now.  Because like I said going from Brian to this is not really showing what a ball is capable of, its showing he can throw a ball accurate  and basically straight down the alley, which can be done by pretty much any ball out there

Im trying to figure out how that guy can average 205 just dumping the ball.  You could clearly see the camera shake from him DROPPING it on the lane each time.

I don't know, that shot at around 1:57 doesn't look straight to me.

Clint looks like he's hitting the lanes left of center, maybe around 25 board?  Crossing at center arrow (so, that's 20?), and on that shot at 1:59 he's somewhere between 5 and 10.

Just because he's not laying it down at the gutter and out to the 1 board doesn't mean he isn't hooking it!

I kind of have to agree with the original post
they have that guy John on there who more or less dumps and chucks the ball lets it roll and hits the pocket
okay great thats fine if thats what your into

I do miss Brian being on the vids he had a very simple and efficient release and swing

Tony has a very smooth approach also and gets a nice reaction from most of the stuff he throws

Clint and John in my opinion are 2 of the same types of bowler
yes they do fit the bill for what most of the typical 1 league a week bowlers are like
but honestly the market does not appeal to them
I bowl in only 1 league a season now and its a fun league that I bowl with my brothers, and grandfather in, (mainly to just have a night to practice and I save my normal weekly fees for local tournaments so I can make money bowling not just donate it every week in a handicap league because there are no good scratch leagues around me) and the majority of the league is recreational bowlers that have a style like clint
but the market for bowling balls is not this type of bowler
these guys are lucky if they buy a new ball 1 time a year
more like a new ball every 3 years or more
theres guys in this league that have stuff that is from 2004 and older
which again is fine theres no reason for them to have a huge lineup or buy the latest hook in a box
they can average 180-200 with just about anything that has a reactive coverstock and core on it regardless

the majority of bowlers that are consistently buying new products and releases are guy that bowl competitively
bowl in money leagues and money tournaments on a consistent basis and feel they need the newest greatest round ball that comes out to knock pins down

Gee most people know that the winner knocks down the most pins! Just ask the 50 year old PBA player of the year Walter Ray Williams. I believe he has made a living on TV with a strait style shot. I can cover a lot of boards too but I seem to score better and leave less splits playing up the boards. It would be good to see how balls work using this style.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this:  Clint owns the bowling alley.  That should help explain why he's in the video.

LOL... Still, he fits in the video. It's refreshing seeing a 'regular' bowler for a change. It gets tiresome just seeing videos that don't apply to 95% of bowlers.

CRD: It's not a matter of persistence -- it's all about accuracy. You don't get a free pass by simply changing your ID. I don't care to know who everybody is on here, but it's fun watching you play musical names.

After looking at the video, the 3 styles show the versatility of the ball.  There are some older bowlers that bowl like this guy and I think that they did a good job.  What we should do is show more videos using different styles and releases to show versatility not just pretty strikes and messengers.

If you check out a senior league, the numbers change to 90%.  He's not the youngest of guys out there, but he got game.

I think you're over reacting regarding Clint. He probably represents 80% + of league bowlers in existence, so why not show what this ball can do for a lower rev player throwing straight up the oil?

+1.... Steven has it right.

I don't see the problem. They show 3 guys with totally different styles of bowling for comparison.

I totally agree with The Stroke. What better way is there than to show the same ball in the hands of 3 different style of bowlers.

Its true this guy bowls the way my Grandfather used to bowl.

As far as I know the older crowd also buys bowling balls, there money is as green as yours or mine.

CRD/LB4M/UG2BK....I'm not trying to be critical or degrade you or anything like that, but why don't you own up and be honest and admit that you really are the original CRD when it is questioned? Your way of posting as well as the style you use is a dead give-away of who you really are. You are not fooling anyone here, only yourself.
