Shark Pattern
« on: September 04, 2009, 01:43:11 PM »
I've only bowled on the shark pattern once and even though this pattern traditionally plays in, I had some success playing out. Even though this shot plays different at other alleys, Im curious to know what you guys do on this pattern such as pin up/down, in or out, dull shiny etc.....

As a higher rev player, I usually work the inside part of the lane until it starts to break down... Depending on the condition, when it opens up I stay inside and switch equipment or move to the right.

I had success playing outside on the Shark, but it was in a high scoring house with really clean backends. I was using an aggressive ball with a pretty dull surface. Further in with the same ball was early hook, less aggressive balls came off the pattern a little too hard for me.

Anywhere else, I've been inside with a strongish pearl to start, balling down as the night goes on.
