Best Ball for a Semi Spinner
« on: December 25, 2003, 01:12:09 AM »
I am a right hand semi spinner 220 average (house shot).
I have had great sucess with black V2 hits like a truck. Other balls sometimes leave flat 10's
Any other spinner's out there. What balls work for
you ??

thanks

I wouldn't call myself a spinner but I definately get around the ball.  I track about an inch and a half off of the thumb/fingers.  So my axis point is about 4 3/4ths over and 7/16ths up.  I tend to like lower-medium RG polished resins and particle pearls, or particle solids with alot of polish.  This makes the reaction very readable for me and makes my adjustments easier.  Look at the Monster series, Track Crunch, Stinger Low Flares and messenger series.  Even the higher end equipement is good with some polish like the morpheus core line of balls that Track makes and the Apex line of balls.

Thanks for the reply, I have noticed that balls like Deuce and Throttle that I
have left dull don't carry well for me. I track about same distance from thumb
as you do. I will have to measure my axis point.

I used to track one inch from thumb and fingers and with that
release i found all buzzsaws to work well. The raging inferno
is another great choice and the v2 strong and apex addiction and
aggression. I recently went to Bill Hall and found several minors
defects i was doing and now track 3 1/2 inches from thumb and fingers.
So now i am going through my equipment and other balls that were junk and
great and most of the balls that were great before stayed great. I am probably
up to 18 revs on the lane and what ever that equals in rpms i do not know.Plus ball speed is up at least 1 mph with total free arm swing it is amazing what you
do with the right coach teaching you the pro tricks and braeking down your game to 1/60 of a second slow motion. So i recommend working with Bill if you wish another release or a B game, i hope this helps you good luck-barry
