How many balls do you buy ina year??
« on: April 18, 2008, 12:53:15 AM »
Just a quick survey…

If you bowl in leagues alone, how many balls would you purchase on average in a year?

If you bowl leagues / tournaments, how many balls would you purchase on average in a year?

Cheers for any feedback!

Got 10 ebonite ball racks in my garage, a custom 20 ball rack in a closet filled for the rarer stuff and big pile in the middle of the garage where a car used to be able to park. Plus 4 2 balls totes filled, a 6 roller filled and a 3 ball bag filled.

At my office got at least 20 nib and 30 used, i am moving them to a storage unit soon.

The old Barry is broke and dead, the new one has to worry about making enough to keep his house and wife. Time to work on retirement for the next 15 years or so, it was great while it lasted but i think 4-6 balls a year tops will be it.

Trust me the stuff from 2-3 years ago is just as good as any new stuff, some balls like the Cell and so forth are too much for 90 percent of shots out there.

1 - 3 depending on the need.  I usually get one from one of the PBA ProAms and one from the WWPB ProAm each year.  I have 2 undrilled right now and am waiting until I need them to replace something I currently have.

Most of the equipment I was using before I started with my coach has been retired.   The balls either have or will be donated to the Junior program I coach.

That sounds like what I said last April when my daughter was born.. LOL!! I was going to cut back to 10 or so a year but that hasn't happened.. If my wife knew I was still a ball "whore" I am sure I would be in some trouble..

I normally punch up 50 or so NIB a year but I might be different than alot of people as I sell them pretty quickly unless I really like them alot.. I never have more than 6 or 7 drilled up at a time.. I have sold all the balls here and made alot of people very happy!! LOL

I just like to buy and use the newer stuff, its alot of fun. I am also a PBA member so I can buy the balls at a decent price which makes my madness all possible!! LOL..

I'm not a ball whore, I've got a 'collector gene'.  Once I found a company I liked, I just look and try to pick up one of every ball I can find of theirs.  Working on LM/L right now, but have already started a Visionary pile.  Thinking that once I get those taken care of, then I can look at RG.

I've been back to bowling for the last 8 months in that time I've bought a track equation, the one, cell, secret agent, twisted and a blast zone(the last two undrilled).  I want to buy some more but the misses says no more until I win some money or make more at my job, whatever comes first.lol
