Bowlers Paradise - Paragon discontinued not shipping!
« on: October 15, 2007, 07:12:33 AM »
Ordered one of the Paragons that Bowlers Paradise put on sale Friday. Finalized the order and paid for it thru paypal. Bank statement reflects the charge out of the bank. Now today I get an email stating that the item cannot be shipped. I called Bowlers Paradise and they told me I would get a refund as the ball had been discontinued. When I ordered there were still balls available. I am glad that I am getting a refund, I also feel that I got the short end of the deal, considering they showed plenty when I ordered. For those of you that just ordered one, I hope you get yours. Also during the conversation, I was asked if I had only ordered one, when I replied yes, the rep told me they were discontinued. I asked why did it show these in stock if they didn't have any...response: They are discontinued! Good luck.

F*** YOU.  Some who only ordered 1 got screwed the same way; the # of balls has nothing to do with it.  There wasn't a limit on how many an individual could buy.  I'm not gonna say "hey, i want 4, but wait, maybe that stops 2 other people from getting 1 or 2 so I will only get 1".  If i wanted to get that many, I could get that many.  You just sound mad you didn't get any also.

Explain to me where the "line" is defined, I would like to know.

Well I received my order confirmation and it should be at my door by the 22nd of this month. But I only ordered one ball and that was 13lbs for my son and it will be a Christmas present.

Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year.

That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Use your head.
Do you honestly believe 2 cases was behind the line?
2 per person is enough.

Well, i saw an opportunity to try different drillings on what is touted as a great ball for an unbelievable price.  I drill, so the cost of the ball is all i pay for.  There was NO LIMIT, this discussion is done.

I can see that you are so much older than I am.  Good point there.

Anyways, after you pushed this topic off course, it doesn't matter how many my friend and I ordered, we still got the shaft along with many others on this thread.  And I wonder, would they rather we order 1, or 20?  Hard to answer that one...no wait, it isn't.

All of y'all are being ridiculous.  If you can afford to buy 10 balls, buy them.  Bowlers Paradise did not impose a limit.

You get people that come on here and say "Oh, ball Y was the best ball I ever had!  A ball return ate my ball. I wish I would have bought more when they were around!"

Friggin $30-40 shipped for a Ravage and you don't think people are going to stock up on the ball?  You have a hard time finding a used ball for $40 shipped!

Somebody else already pointed out that these balls have been around for months at around $80.  Given how "good" everybody says the Ravage is, $80 was a bargain.

Anyways, just my opinion on the matter.  I bought 2 14lb Archons, and they still have 14s listed in stock.

Naw, it's because it's at least a good ball, NIB, for $30-40 shipped.

Actually then BP would be getting 8 separate calls instead of the ONE from myself.  So....no, that wouldn't be better.

I hear you, Eric. Seems like this ball is as popular as the NV is now.

Anyway, it sucks that orders were not filled, and it looks like they weren't done in a real orederly matter. But if they aren't going to impose a limit, then to hate on the people ordering cases is silly. Regardless of this unwritten "greedy" rule.

For the record, although it is frustrating that some people suppossedly bought cases, that is their business. My issue is with my order only, and with what I perceive as poor customer service
