Bowling Adjustment
« on: March 16, 2011, 08:10:45 AM »
Picture your breaking point reguardless of the style of  bowling you are and there is some oil right in front of your breaking zone.  What adjustment would you make?  Will add this to the problem -  Middle of the lane is flooded and no dry board to bounce your ball..  Throw to hard your ball will not respond enough to turn to the packet and there is no true backend.

I wait to hear your responses..

1 more thing this isnt a naabi shoot...

Either point the ball to take the lane out of play, or grab plastic and really take the lane out of play.  Plastic should at least remove the over/under, and if you point the ball, you at least create some entry angle that ball reaction isn't giving you.

That's just like, your opinion, man.

First thing I would do is move over to the right and play a straight up shot going across 10 from 5 with my hand up the back of the ball at a slow speed ( I can throw consistanly 5 to 20 mph). If I did not get the look from the ball I was wanting in practice I would take a abralon pad ans scuff it around 500. But with this amount of oil I would rather use my natural and sand 180 and let her fly and soak up some oil.

It is never the balls fault but the person throwing it.

Move in with something fairly strong and with some surface and get soft with my hand and speed.

Telling it like it is.

Thanks for the input on the shot...

One of the problems I have is my breaking point...  Reguardless if its going straight up the boards or swing shot my breaking point is about same.  Another problem in my house is we dont have clean backends.  Call me limited if you want but if there is oil in my breaking point it becomes a hoping game unless its completely flooded and then I can point the ball..

I was using heavy oil ball - Invasion -- Balls only turn when they hit friction and there was no friction in that spot..

Maybe I should have played deep right - I dont know or Maybe swing accross the lane and let the ball setup right in front of the head - I dont know...  Just a bad day on the lanes...

Sounds like the US Open. I'd just try to throw the ball at the 3 pin.
