A particle solid ball that is polished, and a particle pearl?  How do they compare normally?

Well... Yes and no. That's true for the most part, but it really depends on what you are getting into. Storm particle pearls, for instance, tend to be harder off the break point than most, however...

I would say that the biggest general diffence between solid particle and pearl particle is the midlane read and length. As jaybird said, solid will give you an earlier read of the mid's while providing a smoother backend, whereas pearl particle will give you a later read on the mids, giving you more length through the heads, BUT the breakpoint isn't necessarily sharper or "snappier" than the solid version... It's still SMOOTH, but it is a hair more than most solids GIVEN APPROPRIATE CONDITIONS FOR THE BALL. This is all subjective, really. Take Legends/Lanemasters Particle Pearls... They are just as smooth off the breakpoint as any solid particle I've thrown.

Now that I've confused you even more... Have a good one!
