Worst game thrown by you or team mate on higher average???
« on: November 25, 2008, 07:52:39 AM »
I watched a 104 on 196 average last night and the guy was really trying, he looked like his eyes were going to pop out of his head.

I had a 158 a few weeks back and still managed a 608 series, only took 2 ball changes to find the right ball after changing hand and speed for the 158 game

I also shot 88 once in league my first year, lowest game by a man the whole season and should have been. It was nice and humiliating for me, but made me seek out coaching and the dreaded new ball kick I got on.

For 2 years believe it or not I had only 1 bowling ball, seems like a million years ago now it 1998 and 1999.

Almost forgot about this one.

5-man team average (scratch): 998
Scratch game score (no subs): 738

That's a team effort right there. To make matters worse, it was on the easiest pair in the house.

201 avg.
last night shot 107 first game

the house shortened the shot 6ft and put down a light pattern.  needless to say everything was brooklyn or further.  i couldve softened and played up the gut, but sometimes we live by the wheel and die by the wheel.

Last year, 1st week of league, I shot a 104, 108 then 189.  I had a thumb injury though.  By the 3rd game it was numb enough not to feel it.  Had shot a 16 penny gun nail into 2x4 to attach to a post.  It hit a knot & came out the side of the 2x & angled right onto the thumb knuckle that was supporting the 2x.  Yee ouch.  It swoll up.  Wouldn't fit into the bowling ball.  I no thumbed the 1st game & 1/2.  Then I dipped it in baby powder & ez slide before every shot & forced the thumb in after that.  Robby Revs nu-skin the rest of the year along w/widening the thumb hole.
