Deuce & Blueberry Buzzsaw - do I need both?
« on: August 13, 2003, 10:34:41 PM »
I'm thinking about purchasing a 15# Blueberry Buzzsaw.  I currently own a 16# X-Factor Deuce, I'm also thinking about selling it and trying to get a used 15# Deuce, as I've determined I'm more comfortable with 15#.  Question is, would a BB and a Deuce overlap - are the balls too similar?  I've got an Ultra-Hot as my less aggressive, control ball.  Would I be better at looking at something like a Blade Pearl or a Blade particle?  Just don't want to get 2 balls that are too similar when I'll only have 3 balls in the arsenal.  Thanks,

Jeromie

The Blueberry will be more even rolling than the Duece, but still aggressive.

So, it depends on if you want a aggressive ball with less control, or an aggressive ball with more control. Or, if you need a less aggressive ball with less control/jumps more.

Personally, I think the Duece is more condition specific, whereas the Blueberry is a better all around ball. =:^D

The Duece is simply a more aggressive ball than the Blueberry -- period. The Storm's ACCU-Tread cover is designed to handle more oil than the Brunswick PowerKoil 18 found on the Blueberry.

As far as the Blueberry rolling more even than the Deuce, this is simply an untrue statement. I have the Deuce, and ball is as even as they come. It all comes down to how it's drilled, and the asymmetric core in the Deuce provides for numerous options.

I'm going to get the Blueberry replacement in a few months, precisely because there is little overlap. When it's time to put the Deuce away when the heads start to go, the Blueberry (or it's replacement) will be the way to go.
