With all seriousness, do not worry about OOB. Why, because if you read the BTM surface article, OOB is going to change to something different within 3-6 games and unless you are a perfectionist, you are not going to get it back to OOB surface.

You might get it close and that's if you clean and adjust surface regularly.

Most bowlers don't.  And within a couple of weeks bowling, any ball, whether it started out at 500 grit or 4000 grit, has a new grit in the 2500-3500 range.  That is the grit the surface gets set to by rolling on the lanes, the pit, the ball return belts, etc.

This is one of the reasons the pro's will drill up new equipment every week. (well that it is free for most of them helps too)  They know and the tour ball reps know that the OOB reaction goes away quickly and the only way to get it back is drill a new ball.  And then at the end of the week, a lot of pros will donate their used balls to the local junior program because they are not going to use them the following week.  The OOB reaction is gone.

So choose your equipment knowing that information.

Sorry, I have to digress. The Gamebreaker 2 is early rolling?!? I thought it was more of a medium lane ball, more benchmark?

surface has the most influence on ball motion
pin distance, core, cover strength follow

i have the GB2, it is early rolling **depending on surface**
OBB is 2000, that is a great surface for the short patterns, when i shine it up, it goes much further down the lane

The Hammer Bad Intention is earlier, as well as the Columbia Disorder
there is a new track coming that will be a beast and pretty early rolling

I say OOB because I don't want answers saying 180 grit. I understand the cover will drastically change.
