Facebook Bowling Groups
« on: October 13, 2017, 09:39:20 AM »
Anyone else find it a challenge to not go through and comment on the flood of inaccuracies spread on posts in the Facebook bowling groups?

Not because I want to be right about something but to purely help educate and avoid incorrect information to spread so much it becomes gospel.

I don't find it difficult at all. But then again, I don't use Facebook either.  ;D

All forms of media right now are pretty toxic, and people would rather believe inaccuracies because the truth often isn't as dramatic or fun.

The Motiv board particularly is fascinating.  No idea how Justin Wyman doesn't strangle himself reading some of that stuff.

I'm a friend of his on Facebook but generally don't pay a ton of attention as a lot of people just send me requests because of the youtube thing, but he has raised my eyebrows a few times . .

Being on Staff doesn't exclude someone from being an idiot. I know a few local Staff bowlers who don't know shit, but they have connections somehow that gets them a staff position.

In fact, the best example of them is a guy who is a rep for Vise and is a staffer for a ball company. Dude is a total moron, but he knows someone I guess. It's sure not because the guy is a good bowler and I can't imagine that he helps sell balls either.

I know a guy like that.........  Always wondered who he knows. He bowls a lot, but doesn’t even work in a shop.

He either has connections, or has incriminating evidence on somebody. ;)

A lot of people know somebody.  I wonder myself sometimes.  I'm worried about losing my contract because I don't work in a shop anymore, but I've gotten over 300,000 views on my channel this year (figjam, yeah it's pretty awesome  ;D ;D ;D), and because I'm not "somebody," I'm not entirely sure I'll get sent one for next year, but some other people who barely bowl and do zero product promotion, but are "somebody," aren't in any danger.

Haha I'm working my rep pretty hard . . I think I'll be alright, but it's irritating because I work way harder at it.  I have 3 day weekends now with my new job, but all 3 days are spent on youtube.  Can't remember the last time I did something "fun."

Haha yeah, and not spent watching cool things on youtube, spent on making videos.  I do drink White Russians while working on said videos, but still . .
