Finger Problems
« on: June 19, 2007, 02:20:24 PM »
The past few weeks I've been having problems with my ring finger.  It's the knuckle closest to the tip of my finger the bone between the two knuckles.  Could this be caused by bad finger pitches or me maybe squeezing the ball and not realizing it?

Probably either incorrect finger pitch or span.  --  JohnP

Well I think it's the same span from all my other balls but I'll get it checked out soon.

I have a fairly long ring finger, and over the past few years the joint has become less and less flexible (I'm only 23 and already starting to "age" in some small ways?  Scary).  I kept having problems with my ring finger swelling badly and hurting whenever bowling.  Finally on my most recent equipment, I've shortened the span on that finger slightly and adjusted the pitch on my fingers to compenstate for not being able to bend them as much as I did just a couple years ago.  My ring finger has given me absolutely zero problems since the changes!
