I need some help on what to do, to try and get a leg up on the condition I'm now bowling on. It's 45 ft long with a heavy concentration from about the 6 board to 6 board. Lighter on the outside but definitely not a place to bump off. I bowl on the left side with few other lefties to help burn up the shot. The right side starts slick but opens up with the amount of guys playing there. The left side never breaks down. I'm still getting a very heavy oil ring on the ball at the end of the last game, whereas the righties are seeing nothing. Medium lane equipment won't even wrinkle so they're out. I have a Hammer Pain, Anger and a Perfect Rival. The Anger won't move at all the Perfect Rival tries but can't turn the corner and the Pain makes a small but less than powerful move. I realize I'm at disadvantage because I'm a down and in, low rev player but I've never bowled anywhere that my ball doesn't move at all. Guys that know me continue to come up and say "I would have bet the bank that ball was going to crush the pocket but it never turned the corner". It's very frustrating. I'm averaging 180 just grinding it out by not missing spares and trying to avoid splits. Last night missed one spare and had 3 splits, two that were pocket hits. I had no doubles or better.
If one of you has a suggestion other than quitting bowling at that house, I'd love to hear it. I've tried off the corner, in off the 6-7 board and up the 2nd arrow and nothing has worked. Any suggestions? Serious answers only, please!
