I've asked several weeks ago about the glove and most who have used it say it's not really that good.

Ask DukeHarding
Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

aka addik since 2003

Just Came across one of my old postings today....and since I believe I havd used this product longer/more than anyone else who posts here I share my experiences for your benefit.

<div>unfirtunately the are working on the search function on this site, so I cannot find my "review" I made of this glove that I added to someone else's started thread, because i don't think I could have put it better now than I already have done even if I tried. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Basically I found out about this glove from this website, and since my average was way down for the past year and a half before that I figured I had nothing to lose in trying it. The reason I tried it was that for a number of years...at least since getting back into bowling in 2003 after a 3 1/2 year layoff...I have had problems with finger swelling. I f I bowled more than a few games at one time or in a day(tournaments) or even a few games a few times a week(which I rarely did at the time or do now) got finger swelling. Tried larger grips at one point than I was normally using and didn't like the feel at all. Tried vaccu grips at one point after that and hated that too(I didn't like the extra room at the bottom of the fingers--don't need the room there). The main, and perhaps only reason I went for the glove was the claim about no finger swelling.  Any other "benefits" such as increased revs or a more consistent release or a consistent feel when switching from ball to ball were secondary and didn't at all factor in my decision. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Right off the bat I had a slight problem with the glove because I have a knot or a large bone on my second joint on my middle finger, and because of that I couldn't get that finger into glove. I had to cut a slit in that part of the finger just to get that finger in. Then I glued a patch to close up the ends. I made a couple of other modifications to better suite "me". I didn't like the strap that goes around the hand above the base of the thumb, so I bought of piece of leather "patch" at the crafts store and glued that to the bottom of the glove and then cut a couple of slits in the patch so that I could fasten the strap around my arm.wrist instead. I also use a robby's revs while I bowl, and just like the company says, the griips glove works underneath one of those types of gloves.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Another thing I didn't like is that the glove moved around too much while bowling--or you had to adjust the fingers(push them back down again) which probably wouldn't have been a big deal if i didn't use a robby's revs while i bowl, but would be annoying to constantly having to get underneath the glove--removing it or what have you--to adjust the grips glove----so to compensate for that I ended up velcro-ing the grips glove to the bottom of my robby's revs and that problem was solved.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>This glove does feel weird at first and does take a little getting used to, but for me it stopped feeling weird after a few games---but I never really ended up feeling "bowling comfortable" with the grips glove, if that makes any sense. I really loved the fact that I didn't feel my fingers at all while I was bowling--and no swelling or finger discomfort during or after bowling, which was great for me. The one thing that became evident somewhat in the beginning and never really got any better was that I never really felt like I was in control of or in command of my shots--I do not know if that would be the same for somebody elase, but that was just the way my experience turned out. </div>
<div> </div>
<div> What ended up happening at some point during the second half of last season was that the middle finger part of the griips glove started to rip, right near the area I cut and patched up to allow my knot/bone on my middle finger to "fit"..I don't blame the glove for that, I believe that if i didn't have to "enlarge" the middle finger part that the glove itself wouldn't have started tearing near that area. I ended up bowling the last few month's of the season with only half a griips glove....since the middle finger was just about to fall off, I cut my griips glove in half and from then on only used it on my ring finger and went back to a regular grip in my middle finger. During that end part of the season it(me & good bowling) started comming back to me--don't get me wrong, I wasn't bowling any worse with the griips glove than I had been bowling the past year and half without it, but I wasn't really bowling any better either...but my scores did go back up again a bit towards then end of the season when I was only using the griips glove for my ring finger.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Went back to regular grips this summer --but I have been trying different things to compensate for my finger issues & stuff. Although I don't regret going back to grips this past summer, I really do miss the way the griips glove protected & cared for my fingers. Ultimately what I didn't like about the glove overrode what I did like about the glove.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>This is just my experience with the griips, yours might be different...but if you are a person with finger issues similar to mine, I reccomend trying out the glove to see how it does for you.</div>
