For the Big Hit Particle:

"This ball loves to take on the dry lanes in bowling. I have mnine drilled for max beackend, so every time i use it i know most of the times it's gonna hook. I found that if you dull it, it will go well on dyr lanes, but iuf you polish it up, it will go good on more oily conditions."

So, dull it up for dry lanes and polish it for oil, huh?  I guess dulling it up caused it to die in his backswing or something.
