Got to meet and bowl with Saw Mill
« on: November 09, 2003, 06:16:02 AM »
This weekend I finally met SawMill and had time to bowl 1 game with him before getting to my sisters wedding.
He is so much better then me, I was almost embarrassed even though I was using all new equipment. Good guy though. There was a guy a couple lanes down bowling with the name Clump or glump, something like that, anyway, he and SawMill kept making eye contact and laughing, whatever was that all about?!?!

It almost had to be the "buck 62" you saw a couple lanes down.

BG,

The buck 62 guy lives 8 hours from me, and on weekends he is too busy with his chicks to even drive half the distance to see me.  Yeah Clump was at Victorbowl at the same time I was there, go figure.

Ecajberry is just being modest, he did very well, and has good ball movement.  I bolwed with him after he had already shot 3 games, and add that with the little sleep after the long trip from Utah, tells me that he is better than that.  Thanks Ed for the compliment, and I am glad you got to meet Clump; kind of hard not to since I broght him with me.

The best thing that ED forgot to mention was that he found himself a new ball driller in Vegas, the very same guy that I said was the BEST in Vegas; Lynn DeCamp, at SamsTown.  I will let Ed post the praise, but just like I am right as Clump, I was right about Lynn.

How could I not do that?? Holy cow!!

Lynn at Sams Town was super to work with!! He spent over 4 hours talking and explaining every aspect of drilling a ball the right way, and what to expect from some of the more popular layouts. He watched me bowl a couple games and suggested equipment that should work well for my game. I know I was seeing allot of X's with the new stuff at least at Sams Town,(did I say allot of X's?) hahahahahahahahahahha, but at Victor Valley Bowl, I was struggling a bit on the drier lanes with no Plastic ball. I stopped in Mesquite on the way home and had one punched out. This should round off my ball selection for now.

I sure did like the look of "mills" Lane#1 stuff. It was the first time I had seen their equipment and I might be giving one of them a try in the future.

Time to take the game to the next level, and for me that means I am still dog paddling, but not as hard. (I hope)

Thanks to Richie and Lane 1, for their great stuff.  Ed, let me know when you are ready to try a Saw, and I will help you with your choice, and I will have Clump give his input too.  What plastic ball did you get?  I would have had you get the XXXL that I threw for a monster strike, just to impress you.  Keep us informed on the performance of your new stuff, and when you start using Saws, you will be reporting great progress.  Glad you liked the look of my stuff and it was nice to meet you.  Remember about bowling some in Vegas, if you give me the heads up enough to plan.
