Grips/No Grips
« on: July 13, 2007, 07:41:09 AM »
Iv been wanted to try throwing with no grips are there any pro's con's to doing this ? Iv always used rubber lifters but as of late I cant get a good feel, there eather to small or to big, so that gave me the idea of just using a finger tip grip with reg holes.

I personally have switched back over to gripless.  For me, gripless gives a more solid feel in the fingers as compared to grips (then again, I used the squishy ones).  I think I get a little more revs w/out grips, but its close.  AS far as fit, I have found that I need to drill my fingers just a touch larger than normal becasue after a couple games, they tend to get tight.  I would suggest taking an "old" ball that you might not throw much any more and having it refit going gripless.  Throw it a while, see how it feels and go from there.  Worst case, you don't like it and are out $25 or so...
