Heavy Oil Ball Decision
« on: December 02, 2005, 08:33:08 AM »
I am wondering which ball work best on medium-heavy oil?  Looking ar any of the following:

Brunswick Strike Zone
Brunswick Ultimate Inferno
Ebonite Xxxcel
Track Rule GP2
Ebonite The One
Storm Paradigm
Track Rule Delta 1
Track Robo Rule
Storm X Factor Vertigo
Storm X Factor Trifecta
Morich Total Shock & Awe

Well your topic says heavy but your post says medium-heavy. For me there is a big difference. But here goes anyway.

For true heavy the GP2 and the TS&A are great balls.

For Med-heavy I love the look the Trifecta gives me. For versatility The One and the Paradigm cover a wide range from lighter medium to medium heavy. I think the Paradigm is awesome but a friend looks great with his The One. Both great balls.

Track delta 1 works awesome on med/heavy oil.  I have one and am picking up another one soon; it's been ordered.

Tracks Robo Rule is supposed to be an excelent ball for med/heavy oil.  In fact, BTM said this ball can cover everything except for dry.  They said this ball is very versitile.  They also said this is a great tough lane condition ball.

I own both the UI and the TS&A in that list.  Have them drilled the same, very close to the same specs overall.  The TS&A definately gets more hook than the UI.  The UI, I can usually decrease my ball speed a good amount and get the same reaction as my TS&A.  Or, if my TS&A gets jumpy, I go to the UI.
