I noticed while watching the Roll to Riches TV show that PB III was throwing as he usually does, up his (left handed) 1st arrow and when it hooked it had a nice arc to it which continued to arc all the way into the pocket.
Norm Duke and one other bowler were throwing balls which hit the break point, turned left and straightened out, going into the pocket at the proper angle, BUT were going straight at the time. (Not straight down the alley, but straight on the angle they obtained after the break point.) (Shape looked like a hockey stick)
Someone please explain to me (and the rest of the dummys how this hockey stick shape is obtained? Looks like the ball "rolls out" except they obviously are doing it on purpose. Seemed to work great!
