Okay I take 5 steps and was taught to start with the left leg since I am right had.. How many steps do you take and with which leg do you start with...

I've got a straight-out-of-the-textbook 4 step delivery for a right hander. Take my first step with my right foot and start my pushaway at the same time, bottom of the swing on my second step, top of the backswing third step, and delivery as I finish on my left foot for my first step.

5 steps, starting with left, ball moves with the first "right" step.

First time I bowled I learned a 4 step and started with my right (right hander) I then switched to left foot first 5 step to get that little step to give me more time to work out with my ball....
I move the ball with the first right step ( a bit later though...)

im weird with approach..i vary mine..if im playing inside say 20 ill take 5 steps..outside ill take 6, real deep i will get in front of ball return and take 3 if i have to...

used to be 5 but went to 4 to slow myself down, shot my first 700 right after switching to a 4 step but aint shot nuthin since.
