for a drillpress so u can drill ur own stuff with ur own pitches and every thing ??

Probably 1000 just for the press, and you need a LOT of other stuff like a jig, bits, etc...

Or you can do like a local farmer.  Took his ball out to the workshop and poked three holes in it with his hand held drill.

Talk to LuckyLefty. I think he bought a Delta Drill press, jig, and most of everything else he needed for $1000 give or take a bit.

If you're willing to buy piecemeal, and wait for deals as they come up, you can get into all the gear you need for easily less than $1000.  That's what I did.

mumzie, Inovative and Jayhawk are high dollar rigs. Even used ones. If a person has that kind of money, their rigs are hard to beat, but not many people have that kind of money. (Lost it bowling...lol) I may be wrong. but I feel he is looking for something cheaper like I and Bracket Creep suggested, which will still the job for the "drill a ball at home once in awhile type person." LuckyLefty's drilling accuracy is right down to the 1/64th inch or less on his rig which is more accurate than most pro shops drill.
