I like mine a bit more after letting it lane shine. For my game it must have given me a bit more entry angle to help carry. You should definitely experiment on different surfaces.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III

My IQ Tour has about 600 games on it. It's the only ball I've practiced with for the past 3 years or so and I bought it fully plugged from a PBA'er. It just doesn't finish anymore. I went 2000-3000-4000 grit then polished the crap out of it. It's an amazing spareball now.

Bonez, do you think I'm leaving the back row because it has too many games on it? I read an avabob post and he said all you gotta do is adjust. I'm not sure why it doesn't work anymore.  My track looks like an emo teenager's forearm with all of the cut marks in it. You would think that it would help grip the lane better but no such luck.

I've emailed Storm about it about 63 1/2 times over the past couple years for help and I haven't gotten an answer yet. That 1/2 time was from my mo-BILE cellular phone. I don't like to send those emails too much cause I still get charged 10 cents per killerbite.

Not even close to the first on here to comment how the IQ Tour is a 9/ machine on house shot.  Polished my IQ Tour and plan on trying it again soon as got a Venom Shock around same time and it got more love.  I did kick some major ass in our no tap last week of season in league with it though (to be fair not all the tap strikes I got were on solid pocket hits).  Still IQ Tour has won people a ton of money on flatter tournament patterns is other thing I hear from the better bowlers on here.

IQ tour is  condition specific ball. For many,  It is much better on flatter patterns where keeping the ball in the pocket is the primary need.  I still have an IQ tour, but seldom use it on house shots.

By the way, if you are going yo quote me please get it correct.  What I said was that If you can't adjust, having an arsenal won't do you any good.  If you want to play second arrow, and the oil is at at 15, an arsenal won't help you

Sorry avabob I wasn't trying to quote you I was just voicing my frustration, now that I know it's condition specific I know how to deal with it.

Scrub 49,
When I got my Tour Solid a couple of years ago I noticed it appeared dull for a 4000 grit ball.  I had the same issues you described.  A PBA touring pro I know told me to hit the ball with a 4000 Abralon pad using water on a spinner which changed the surface from the factory 4000 dull look to a more shiny look.
The ball came alive and my carry issues improved 1000%.  It worked for me, hopefully it will work for you.

I’m a big fan of IQ Tours, even on house shots. I personally think they roll best after they get some lane shine.

With surface and flying backends, I'm sure the IQ Tour carries relatively well (although it's more about controlling the pocket on those conditions). However, it has become number two of all time out of the bowling balls that I've thrown because of what it does at higher surfaces. If you are not speed dominant, I find the IQ Tour to be at least an option for having a ball that clears the fronts with a crisp pop downlane. Again, this is when the ball is on the shiny side (3000-4000, 2000 polished, or lane shine).
